I am a professional wildlife tracker and wildlife tracking teacher with over a decade of experience in the field This is by far the best digital field guide to wildlife tracking that I have seen It was obviously created by a highly qualified and very knowledgeable wildlife tracker It is full of numerous high quality photographs The content is really good and it is well laid out I like having the ability to look up track photographs range information animal behavior and even mammal skull photographs all in my phone I find myself using this app often while out in the field as a track photo reference for my students and to look up information on range and habits of specific species Though this app is not cheap it is well worth the money and is half the price you would pay for a comparable quality paper field guide All of the other wildlife tracking apps that I have seen are horrible They are full of mistakes and even in some instances made up false information They may be cheaper but what is the point of purchasing a reference app such as this if it contains incorrect or misleading information I highly recommend this app for anyone interested in wildlife tracking animal behavior or nature                     Best digital field guide to wildlife tracks by far S. This app for the price could be more inclusive When compared to current e books on tracking they have a lot more content for less money It has over 60 of the common wildlife species but would be more useful with many more It works well on the iPhone but using an iPad it stays locked in portrait mode and does not currently support landscape view If the developer can keep adding content and provide landscape view for the iPad then I would up my rating to 5 stars and it would be worth the price             iTrack Wildlife review 2004Cobra

I loaded the app and went right to our local State Park I was able to identify skunk raccoon and cottontail rabbits using iTrack I found it very easy to use yet very comprehensive I m going to be checking the creek bed frequently for mountain lion and bobcat tracks I m really excited about all the information in this app how easy it was to use and highly recommend this app to hikers and naturalists Also it would be a great tool to use when taking kids and students on hikes or field trips                     I had so much fun using this app KateatSanOnofre

As a wildlife expert I d say this is a good app but as a consumer who has used the other related apps I d say this is way too expensive Though some other apps are only iPhone native in general I m in the field with the iPhone not iPad Anyway just a caution that this isn t worth 3 to 7 times the price of other similar apps some of which also include additional features         Pretty good material BUT siberian7

This is a must have for both the novice tracker and professional biologists Having taken a tracking course instructed by Jonah who is one of the best track experts in the USA I was excited that he was putting his photos into an app This app exceeds my expectations The search function and information about each animals track and gait is excellent when trying to identify tracks I also like how similar species are listed with explanations about common mistakes when identifying tracks The number of animals listed is extensive and I can t wait for more updates                     Must have for anyone interested in tracking DJK in TX

It is great to loose the weight of all my guide books from the pack and this AP helped me do that Plus in many cases the information was better because of the quality of the photos and a picture of the animal I love the section called similar as it is very helpful Also included are photos of obscure versions of the tracks which helps in ID a great deal                     convenient 4brownbears

As an outdoor educator I have been on a search for great tools to help teach the public about tracking and the natural world Once I used this app it quickly jumped to the top of the list This app contains tracks and signs of most of the common mammals that one would encounter in the United States What is great about this app is that it shows actual pictures of the animal tracks with descriptions as well Along with tracks there are photos for each animal s sign as well what their scat looks like feeding signs etc I also appreciate all of the information that is now stored in the app from Wikipedia It is great to have the information stored in the app for offline viewing which comes in handy when you want to look up information about the animal but you don t have a wireless signal I also want to highlight the search feature which makes it easy to narrow down possible species based on size toes shape and your location to name a few Great job I would recommend this app to anyone                     Incredible Tracking and Natural History App Tim Donner
