The Open Championship 2013

This is without a doubt the worst app I have every downloaded The majority of the time was spend on interviews commentators and behind the scene stuff which had nothing to do with the tournament All we got to see on the last hole was the final two puts by Rory Terrible coverage           Kent

I didnt download this app to hear three commentators drone on about what the players wives are tweeting about Worst of the major apps you cant watch any golf        Show Golf

No video support for the playoff     No playoff video

Theres no sound coming from the app while watching the live feed on my iPhone 6 plus        No sound

The app offers more info than I expected and works great on my iPhone 5s                 Works great

The app incorrectly states when things happen in eastern standard time EST Obviously it gives correct local time for England However it is one hour off for eastern time ex it says players tee off at 1225 AM EST when in fact they dont tee off until 125 AM EST Silly mistake but kind of important and hopefully it will be corrected              Good but silly mistake

There is no live coverage of play as the US Open and Masters apps both offer just some commentators talking about Instagram pictures people have taken on the course Also there are no highlights in the app other than a day by day overview highlight reel Not up to par with other major championship apps        Video coverage is not great

Very surprised no one has written a review This is a great app for what it does and I am sure even better if you are attending Well done RA and its team                 Great addition

Now we have to watch selfie contest entries tours of gym trailers and cute exchanges between nice looking commentators instead of watching Johnson Spieth Day or Goosen PLAY GOLF Seriously The app is little better a slowtoupdate leaderboard You get what you pay fore        FORE We want golf

The Open has teed off yet there is not yet video coverage I figured Id at least be able to get some live action on the app as I wait for ESPN to tee off           No video coverage yet

This is not a very good App No live broadcast as advertised        Not a very good App

No play by play progress no following groups etc no as functional as one would have expected     not as good as following nonmajor tournaments on PGA app

Navigating between players scores and the course was seamless Updates were within seconds Love to see the PGA adopt this concept                 Excellent App

Last year it promised iOS 5 compatibility but didnt work on our original iPad with iOS 511 The Live video feed would take you out of the app go to You Tube in the web browser and say No video Frustrating This year though the app works like a charm except for one thing it does NOT rotate to landscape view Which is of course the best way to view golf IF ANY OF THE APP DEVELOPERS TUNE IN PLEASE FIX Still I do compliment them for keeping iOS 5 compatibility Not many new versions of apps do Plus the feed is still smooth even on the iPad 1 and good to watch On the iPad Mini RD and iPad Air with iOS 7 and iOS 8 it works wonderfully just as it did last year Its just great being able to follow The Open The announcers are excellent the accents delightful the pacing is good and the coverage is well often great Thats part of why it lost a star The coverage this morning has been decidedly NOT great Here it is Thursday well into the daybut where is the course Where are the golfers ON THE COURSE Enough with the interviews already We want to watch golf not listen to people talking about it Worse theyll briefly cover a minute or two then jump back to interminable talking and interviewing Follow up Good news Noon and they seem to have returned to golf Still they need to take a cue from the PGA Tour which gives the app user the option to watch coverage of particular holes so you can see all the golfers go through a particular one or choose to follow certain groups around the entire course Probably a question of cost camera and personnel The apps interface is also convolutedor rather obscure Tip look around for the Done button to get back where you want to be In any event its a free download so try it and maybe itll work for you              Even better than last year Now works on original iPads Still a couple of big problems

Leaderboard has surprisingly poor functionality Silly wasteful layout of tee times History and news are interesting but are unwelcome obstacles to have to wade through to get the info that matters most        Shabby

What good is an app if the name column vanishes on the leader board Its kind of important to have names listed on the leader board This app is useless unless you like frustration The only reason 95 of the people want this app is to follow the score and players Why so complicated Put up a leaderboard that functions That is all that is needed Everything else should be secondary     No name on leaderboard

Very cool app only suggestion is better pics on the course tour must have if youre a Open fan                 Well done

There is no sound for the videos despite rebooting the iPad twice and downloading the app updates Disappointed     Wish the sound worked

Day one has choppy picture and sound cuts in and out Would get much higher rating if I could watch and listen     Please Update

Does not support dynamic text sizing and cannot pinch to zoom so were stuck with small narrow text on a gold background fail leaderboard Doesnt even show score for the round in progress only total score fail Is there any way to show less relevant information in a given space than the way they have implemented tee times        Worst Golf App

Very bad Crashes frequently Can not view the leader board as it shrinks the players names So inevitably I can see the posted scores what hole they are on position and what round they are playinghowever their names are J L S Jo F etc It is just inexcusable to have this poor quality associated with such a high quality event I only rated it one star because there was not an option for 1 2 3 4 or 5 piles of dung     Horrible

How the hell can u be off air when there is a 3 way playoff going on Horrible     Off air

My app has no sound on highlight videos Tried deleting and reinstalling but no luck        No sound

Live audio coverage is great live video limited to one hole Other videos highlights etc no longer play even after reloading app           Live works Videos not

Every time I try to view the tee times the app crashes Otherwise it looks nice I have an iPhone 6           App crashes

Sound works if you turn your phone off of vibrate No live coverage of groups tho Masters app was nice Multiple groups to watch and specific holes always on        No love play coverage

I love this app                 Best app in pro golf

I reloaded on my iPad before tournament start and it worked ok Then after round one I got a notification that an update was available to correct bugs and I unfortunately downloaded it Now it wont open Instead it crashes every time I try to open it Totally useless Apparently no one responsible is aware as no further updates came out to correct this Why did they issue a bug fix after round one that was not tested to work If I could give a zero star rating I would but a one star minimum is apparently the lowest rating possible     Crashes at startup

Easy layout Beautiful bold graphics The leaderboard is very nice Best major app out there of the four                 Excellent App

Times are incorrectly indicated as Eastern Standard Time instead of Eastern Daylight Time Therefore the times are off by one hour        Mistake in times

No live stream disappointed May be next year     Whats the purpose

They make the decision to play the final round on Monday and this app ends its video feed on Sunday I was watching while traveling and they signed off for good on Sunday Sure enough no live video feed today Terrible Thanks for wasting the first 3 days for me by not covering the all important final round Im sorry that you had to go back to your regular jobs on Monday of selling sunscreen What a joke     Terrible no final round video

The course feature is cool but the tee times were off by an hour when converted to my time zone Also the scoreboard had several mistakes           Not great

Good app overall but a couple of things 1 When on the leaderboard and I tap a player name I expect to see hole by hole scores but I see a bio You need a little i icon for that 2 So I have to rotate to landscape and tap a player name for hole by hole When I do its hard to see the pars White font on yellow Really Try black on yellow for some pop              Hole by hole needs contrast

These guys with no audio and doesnt show golf did NOT use this app or must have a broken iPadiPhone Ive been traveling and I still have seen a lot of golf with this app Audio worked fine Leaderboard worked fine                 Great App

I am in disbelief again Gillis not even listed a player a day after he qualified No tv times No tee times for opening round Please check out Masters or US Open for much better golf app     Another year another lousy app

This app was great I was on the road during the Open With this app I was able to keep up with the excitement Great job                 Thoroughly enjoyed the 2015 Open because of this app

ive been using the app since I cant watch live The video has been great But just this morning Friday the audio on the live stream is not working Otherwise working great but please fix the audio        AudioPlease

Where do I start The basics 1 Need to find a player on the leaderboard With this horrid app you need to manually scan the entire board since there is no search capability This is golf appweb site 101 2 Video coverage of the final day nonexistent 3 Video highlights are sparse Blah blah blah I deleted it and used the pga app and ESPN website     Only because ZERO stars not possible

With the exception of no live coverage this has been the best app for a golf tournament and should be used as the standard for all other tournaments Graphics are wonderful very informative without clutter very intuitive Updates were pretty much realtime To the creators job well done                 THE best tournament app yet

This app is horrible Continues to show 2014 leaderboard virtually no customization minimal ability to look up stats etc It is ok on iPad but not on phone I am at St Andrews and there are loads of promotion to use this app Too bad its crap Check out Masters and US Open for properly executed apps     Utter Rubbish

The App is 499     Not Worth It
